Front End Re-Build

In the begining there was very little of the front end at all... The inner wings were sound and so was all of the chassis frame. The whole front had been given a coat of primer, however still needed a good rub down with wet  & dry to give it a smooth even finish

With the front at a good point to start I was able to offer up the new passenger side wing , front valance and bonnet closure panel. After offering up I could see this was an excellent fit with good panel gaps, so I bolted them in place. This was then followed with a coat of grey primer to show up any blemishes.

The drivers side has proved a little more tricky as a repair panel fitted does not have the holes drilled for the wing to be attached, these will have to be measured and drilled. I will also have to cut holes in the front valance for the bumper brackets.

Front wheels, Steering rack and front suspension are now removed ready for re-build and re-conditioning

In this shot you can now see the drivers side inner wing has had a top coat of the final car colour (Rover Pulsar Silver). I have also now untangled the mess that was the main wiring loom, stripped it and recovered. This is now attached in place. the original fuse box will be used, however the Voltage regulator will have to be replaced.

I have now got to the stage with both wings in place and sprayed. Head lights are fitted. Grill surround is required before the grill can be fully fitted.
All front end wiring is in place and connected.

It's a Car!!!!!!!    Now we are really progessing.. Now to turn it around and do the same to the back end..
